Welcome to your guide on the top 10 best photo spots at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom park might be one of the best places to take photographs in all of Disney World.
Possibly in all of Florida.
Maybe that seems a little extreme, but it seriously is one of the best spots to take pictures.
Why?
The light!
The light is so dreamy at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Even with an early sunrise you can still get some amazing early morning light due to all the trees that are in Animal Kingdom park. The trees allow the light to come in slowly and provide a nice filter.
As a professional photographer, my favorite place to take pictures always ends up being out in nature.
That alone might be why I have fallen in love with taking photos at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Just so many trees and nature-y thing.
It’s absolutely gorgeous!
While I could suggest 100 little nooks and crannies throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, I’ve limited myself and put together a list of the 10 best photo spots.
These spots include a mix of iconic locations (hello, Tree of Life!) and unique perspectives. Sometimes it’s all about looking at an old spot with a different perspective.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the 10 best photo spots at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
1. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park Entrance
Before you even enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom park you need to snap a picture. The entrance to the park makes it feel as though you are heading into the jungle. Trees and wildlife blend seamlessly with Disney’s signage and turnstiles.
If you have a moment don’t rush past the entrance without snapping a picture or two.
2. In Front of the Tree of Life
Ah, the Tree of Life. Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s icon and work of art.
The Tree of Life is home to more than 300 different species of animal. Each animal is intricately ‘carved’ into the tree and each one contains so much detail.
It is almost customary to take a picture of the Tree of Life when you first enter into the park.
3. Close to the Tree of Life
Want to know a secret for getting better pictures of the Tree of Life?
Get really close to it!
While you might not have the entire tree in your shot, you’ll be able to get closer to all the details on the tree.
Plus, being closer to the tree helps eliminate a lot of crowds from the background of your photos!
4. On Board the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride
Africa would be an amazing place to visit one day.
Not sure if or when that will happen, but in the meantime we get to experience one of the coolest rides at Disney World: the Kilimanjaro Safari ride!!
If you haven’t had the chance to go on an African safari, be sure to visit the Kilimanjaro Safari ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
It’s one of the coolest rides in all of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Pro Tip
When taking photos on the ride, be sure to grab a few of your family members enjoying the safari in addition to the animals you see on the safari.
5. In the Boneyard Dig Site Dinoland, USA
One of the best spots, in our family’s opinion, of all of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the Boneyard Dig Site.
We might be a little skewed in our opinions due to how we hang out with a younger crowd (I’m talking toddlers and babies, y’all), but it really is a great place.
Check out why we love it so much right here!
While you and your kiddos are playing, be sure to grab a few shots of your kiddos living their best life.
I mean, digging in the dirt (which isn’t really dirt, read the post, trust me, it’s a cool place!), can life get any better than this?
6. In Front of Expedition Everest
Expedition Everest is hands down one of the best rides at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
While it is not super conducive to take a bunch of photos while you’re one Expedition Everest, you can always grab a shot or two in front of the ride.
My favorites are shots after riding. The wind blown hair on your family members says it all!
7. Coming Off of Kali River Rapids
Some of the best photos to take are always action photos at Disney World.
However, taking your camera on Kali River Rapids isn’t advised.
‘Cause water.
Taking photos of guests walking off of Kali River Rapids, who just so happen to be soaked head to toe.
That, my friends, is highly advised!
8. In Front of Dinosaur
Whether you plan to brave and ride Dinosaur or just watch all the freaked out park guests walk off, be sure to grab a picture in front of this ride.
If you do ride it then you can refer to the picture later when you talk about your amazing adventure.
I mean it’s not every day you get chased down by a dino..
9. In Pandora (All of It!)
Pandora is one of the newer lands in Disney World.
It also happens to be one of the most photogenic lands in Disney World. It’s an engineering marvel that you really need to see first hand.
If you have the opportunity to stay in Pandora at night time, be sure to do so. The area is absolutely beautiful.
10. You Are Most Beautiful
One of my all time favorite walls to take a picture in front of is the ‘You Are Most Beautiful’ wall located inside of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The message it puts across is a reminder to us all that we are beautiful just as God created us.
Be sure to stop and take a picture of this wall, located outside of the Harambe Market.

There ya go! 10 of the best photo spots at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Of course there are countless additional photo opportunities, ranging from photos on rides to pictures with characters.
