Valentine’s day is almost here! Two days away, as a matter of fact. I’ve never been a person who is huge on Valentine’s day, but I’ve never dismissed it all together either. I like to see it as a day to appreciate the ones you love. Regardless if you have a special someone or not, I see the holiday as a day to spread love to all those in your life. I use Valentine’s day to serve as a reminder to me to be a more loving person overall.
Since the specific day isn’t a huge deal in our house, little gestures usually play a big role in our Valentine’s day. Compared to going crazy and buying the other person a new car as a Valentine’s gift. Nothing against that, just not how we roll. (See what I did there ;)).
This year I got my husband a cute mug set from Target, which, while it wasn’t marketed as such, was definitely inspired by Disney’s Frozen. (His fault for marrying a Disney nerd enthusiast. And for supporting this little blog venture!) He got me a pretty sweet running vest that I’ve wanted for about a year. If you know me, you’ll know this is a very thoughtful and romantic gesture! I know, I know, he’s a keeper.
Disney Gifts
In the past we’ve exchanged different Disney inspired gifts. (And by we, I mean I’ve received different Disney gifts for Valentine’s day. Mr. Mace is a Disney fan, but Chipotle is more his love language.) As a Disney lover the small ‘Disney’ gifts were perfect for me. I like having little things that I can incorporate into my day-to-day that remind me of Disney.
Perhaps you have someone who is a big Disney fan in your life but you haven’t picked up a Valentine’s day gift yet. I put together a list of some of my favorite items that might be perfect for your sweetie. As noted above, these are affiliate links, so if you click-through them, it doesn’t cost anything extra for you, but I will get a very small commission. (Thank you!) Aside from that, these are just super cute Disney items that I would love to get as a gift, and thought you might too!
Bonus, if you have Amazon Prime, you can still get most items (most likely, double-check on this) in time for Valentine’s day! If the delivery date is going to be after Valentine’s day you can take a picture of the image you have bought. Next, take the picture and tuck it inside of a card as a sort of place holder until the item arrives. That way your loved one knows the gift is coming and you are prepared for Valentine’s day!
1. Minnie Ears
I love these rose gold Minnie Mouse ears, and actually have this exact pair myself. Rose gold is very popular right now and can be coordinated with tons of Disney outfits. If you’re looking for something a little different, these purple potion Minnie ears are taking over the parks like crazy. The purple potion ears might be my next ears. You can never have too many Mickey or Minnie ears. Right? Don’t tell me if you can. If purple and pink aren’t your cup of tea, you can always go the classic red and black route. Hands down these will probably always be my favorite ears!
2. Mickey or Minnie Earrings
For my second Mother’s Day my son gifted me a pair of Mickey Mouse earrings. I’m not sure if it was because it was a gift from my almost two-year old or the fact that we weren’t spending the day at the urgent care, but I was in love. (True Story: For my first Mother’s Day, we spent the day in the urgent care with my son. He ended up being fine and I guess the trip made it a memorable first holiday?) The earrings were cute and silver and are still one of my favorite pairs of earrings. They are a little subtle way to include a little Disney into my day-to-day. While they are different from mine, I’m a fan of these ones I found on amazon. A cute little pair of subtle Mickey and Minnie!
3. Castle Necklace
Something I’ve had on my wish-list for a while is a Cinderella’s castle necklace. One of my very first memories of Walt Disney World was eating in Cinderella’s castle. Cinderella has always been my favorite princess, so it was a ‘dream come true’ as a little girl to have the chance to dine in her palace. Plus, the beef barley soup was amazing. I remember not being able to get enough. This cute little necklace is sure to serve as a nice reminder of Cinderella’s castle.
4. Mickey or Minnie Plush
Stuffed animals are always a popular option on Valentine’s day. Usually they come in the form of a teddy bear holding a heart or a giant heart itself. Why not step up your Valentine plush game and incorporate a little Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse into your gifting? This little Mickey with a kiss on his face is super cute. He’s an itty bitty!
5. Tsum Tsum
If you like the plush idea, but want something a little more unique, try the Mickey and Minnie Tsum Tsum, Valentine’s Day edition. I already think Tsum Tsum plushes are super cute, so add in a little Valentine’s theme and it’s a win-win. Or, even better, you can get a box of Tsum Tsums for your loved one disguised as a box of candies. Okay, they aren’t really a box of chocolates, but they are super cute and in a perfect little box. Candy is over rated, Tsum Tsum plushes last longer!
6. Loungefly Disney Bag
A tad more on the practical side, as it can be used year round, would be a Loungefly Disney bag. I’ve always been a fan of these bags and love that they come in backpack style. Specifically thinking about the parks, being able to have your hands free is a huge game changer. If you liked the rose gold Minnie ears listed in the first suggestion, you might be a huge fan of this gold Loungefly Minnie Mini backpack. Looking for something a little more subtle? I’m a big fan of this Aristrocats bag. You can even get a matching wallet!
There ya go! A few suggestions that I think would be perfect little Disney related Valentine gifts. However you plan to celebrate the upcoming holiday, I hope it is magical and filled with fun and love. Whether that means a nice dinner out, a sweet text from your loved one or an i.o.u. if you can’t be together on the day. (That last one is us this year, but hoping to have a make-up Valentine’s date!) Happy Valentine’s Day!
